Bio

Ms. Beyer is a seasoned Workers’ Compensation Attorney. She has practiced Workers’ Compensation defense and related areas since 1989. She is certified by the State of California as Legal Specialist in the field of Workers’ Compensation Law.Her areas of practice are Worker’s Compensation including 132a and Serious and Willful defense and Subrogation. In addition to being a member of the Worker’s Compensation Section of the State Bar of California, she is also a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section. She also currently volunteers as a judge pro tem at the San Diego Worker’s Compensation Appeals Board.

Ms. Beyer is very active with in the legal community. She is currently the Immediate Past Co-Chair of the Council of Sections of the State Bar of California and a member of the Task Force to the Board of Trustees.  She has served as the Co-Chair of the Council of Sections in 2004 and 2012. She has been the Chair of the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California twice and was appointed the Chair of the Law Practice Management and Technology Section for 2010.

Ms. Beyer has also taught in two different capacities: as a teacher for Intermediate Litigation for State Compensation Insurance Fund adjusters and as a Professor with San Diego State University's College of Extended Studies in Telecommunication. She is a past member of the San Diego State University's Advisory Committee for Telecommunications Certificate Program.

Most recently, Ms. Beyer is very active with the Claims Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) acting as the Events Chair for the State of California. In addition to being instrumental in the formation of the Los Angeles Chapter of CLM,  Ms. Beyer is a member of the CLM Workers’ Compensation Section.
