Bio

James Owen Golden is a seasoned California attorney with more than 15 years of focused experience in workers’ compensation law.

He is widely recognized for his pragmatic, results-driven approach to high-exposure claims and his ability to deliver cost-effective resolutions without compromising the quality of representation.

James has built his practice around strategic evaluation, efficient case handling, and disciplined settlement negotiations designed to minimize exposure and control legal costs for his clients.

In addition to his litigation and claims-handling practice, James regularly conducts trainings for employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators. These trainings are designed to provide practical guidance on claims management, litigation strategy, exposure reduction, and best practices for navigating complex workers’ compensation matters, further reinforcing his role as a trusted advisor beyond the courtroom.

He follows in the footsteps of his grandfather and his mother, Susan Owens, whose distinguished legal career included more than 40 years as a judge in Washington State, with over two decades of service on the Washington State Supreme Court.

Outside of his legal practice, James is a devoted father to his son and two daughters, as well as a proud dog owner to Peaches. He is passionate about fitness and personal well-being, values a healthy and disciplined lifestyle, and strives to instill those same principles within his family.
