Bio
J.R. Webster Cucovatz is an accomplished attorney specializing in workers’ compensation defense, with extensive experience in both state and federal forums. Admitted to the California Bar in 2012, he has successfully represented clients in complex professional athlete-related claims and claims involving the Federal Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.
Mr. Cucovatz earned his Juris Doctor from Chapman University School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor for the Chapman Law Review and completed an International Law Emphasis Certificate. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communication from the University of Washington.
Currently, Mr. Cucovatz is a Partner in the Santa Ana office, where he leads the sports-related workers’ compensation defense practice. His prior experience includes being Managing Partner of Sports & Longshore at a multi-state workers' compensation defense firm.
